ABOUT
Harriet Singing Bird
My journey began at an early age with the piano and voice. I was a classically trained musician whose intent included teaching music. As I moved through life my career path shifted elsewhere. I managed to keep up with vocals with a local barbershop chorus, but still there was a yearning for more. Just prior to my father's death I had felt the call to learn to play the Native American flute. Through the learning of the flute much needed healing could begin, and I found a pathway for my expression. As I moved forward from merely teaching myself, I began to learn from others whom had perfected their craft. I am grateful to Terry Filer, Jan Michael Looking Wolf, Robin Gentlewolf, and many others who have played integral parts in getting me to where I am today.
